El moho absorbería la luz solar y las cucarachas servirían de alimento para el moho. En el año 2577, llega la primera nave tripulada a Marte, con la desagradable sorpresa de ser atacados por unos mutantes extremadamente fuertes, mezcla de humanos y cucarachas. Para combatirlos, la Tierra envía a sus mejores guerreros con el fin de exterminar a los bichos mutantes y averiguar qué es lo que ocurre en el planeta rojo. Obviamente esto no será nada fácil.
